Air Jordan VI Retro Motorsports - Extensive Detail LookYou’ve got an interesting, and possibly difficult choice ahead of you: white/black or white/black.  Several Air Jordan VI Retros are dropping this year, and two of them are pretty similar, on paper.  Both the ‘Oreo’ and Jordan Motorsports AJ6s come with simple, two-colour palettes, but they actually came out pretty differently.With the Oreos, the contrast is more stark, and they’re set for a March drop.  The above pictured Motorsports VIs are releasing in February, and in these new photos, you can appreciate the subtleties of its design.  Like how the peforations and varying tumbled-nesses of leather adds some depth, or how the smokey translucent outsole sections give the icey look with minimal chance of yellowing.  Enjoy the photos for now, and we’ll let you know when the exact release date is announced.  via Kenlu

I enjoyed surprising those guys. Anyway, I knew sports at a pretty high level in high school and college which made it relatively easy for me as a designer to sit down and credibly talk to many of the worlds best athletes. I think that insight gave me an advantage when it came time to put designs on the table that helped people perform better. The style part was an extension of Innovation Design for real athletes and then I wove personality and storytelling into those performance designs. Maybe I was the first one to combine all that stuff into a sneaker design, I don’t really know.What Was The Sneaker Or Moment That Made You Want To Have A Career Involving Sneakers?There was no magic moment other than I originally came to Nike as the Corporate Architect and quickly noticed that all the real action and fun was revolving around Shoe Innovation. I was lucky to be invited to design some shoes while I was still the Nike Architect. I was really fortunate that the Sneaker Industry was still mired in utilitarian design work. When I started designing shoes it was kind of virgin territory.

Well, the Trailblazers of the present consist of young, hard-working talent – one player in particular being LaMarcus Aldridge, the Texas alumni and rising star in the NBA. Aldridge is one of the most athletic big-men in the game, and he moves around so easily because of his Air Max Hyperdunk 2010 PE, featuring a tonal red colorway and black swoosh, with ‘L-Smooth’ printed on the tongue. Jordan CP3.VII "China"As you may have noticed in our recap of the Beijing stop on Jordan Brand’s Flight Tour 2013, Chris Paul has a new colorway for his upcoming seventh signature model.  Along with an official unveiling, Paul himself was spotted wearing a bold multicolor Jordan CP3.VII we haven’t seen anywhere else.  These are mostly in the tonal red range with a berry upper but the inclusion of bright but basically primary blue and yellow shades gives these a totally novel feel.  Let us know how it compares to the best colorways from a line known for standouts like ‘Jeckyll & Hyde’ and ‘Nitro’ and stick with Sneaker News for updates on this pair plus all the CP3.VII release dates.via FRESHNESS

Air Jordan Sixty Plus - 60+ Point Series - Detroit Pistons - December 2009As you might already know, Jordan Brand will be honoring MJ’s 60 point performances by putting out a series of Sixty Plus colorways inspired by the teams that Michael lit up in those games. Here we have our best look so far at the Pistons edition, commemorating Jordan’s 61 point effort against Detroit on March 4th, 1987. The shoe adds Varsity Red, French Blue and White accents to a Black upper and goes a step further by adding a speckled design to most of the midsole. The Detroit Pistonsversion of the Sixty Plus also sports a clear White outsole and Blue contrast stitching on the upper.
